Libri amicorum
The liber amicorum, also known as Festschrift, is a book in honour of the (academic) achievements of a respected person. It is usually presented during the lifetime at special occasions such as reaching the status of emeritus, changing positions or milestone birthdays of the person or their landmark publications. A liber amicorum – latin for book of friends - usually consists of original articles by colleagues, mentees and friends. This collection showcases some of the libri amicorum of Leiden academics.
