Epigenetic alterations in the predisposition to and progression of melanoma
Melanoma is the most aggressive and lethal type of skin cancer since it has the ability to spread to other organs in the body making it harder to control the disease.
In this thesis, we aim to explore the degree to which epigenetics play a role in melanoma, namely, inherited and acquired epigenetic alterations in melanoma susceptibility and development.
