Show moreBackground Pain is an important symptom in Huntington's disease (HD), however, not systematically studied and understood. The objective of the current study is to assess the prevalence of pain, pain interference in daily activities, painful conditions, analgesic use and the severity of the pain burden across different disease stages and 'Age at symptom Onset' groups. Additionally, the association between pain and disease burden was investigated. Methods A cross-sectional analysis was conducted within two large data sets, which included different types of pain scales. Multivariable logistic regression analyses and analyses of variance were performed to compare the pain levels with those in the general population. The analyses were adjusted for sex and age. Locally Estimated Scatterplot Smoothing was used to test the association between pain and the HD pathology score: a measure of disease burden. Results The mean prevalence of pain in the HD population was 40% and for pain interference around 35% in both data sets. Patients in the early, middle and late stage of HD experience more pain burden compared with what is reported in patients with chronic pain (p<0.01). A positive and significant association was demonstrated between pain and disease burden. Patients in late stage HD with pain use significantly less analgesics compared with the general population (5% vs 13%, respectively (p<0.01)). Conclusions Pain is a prevalent and important symptom in HD. Severe pain burden in the HD population is present and positively associated with disease burden. Risk for undertreatment with analgesics is nevertheless present. Awareness of pain in HD needs to be increased, both clinically and scientifically. Show less

Show moreBackgroundAlthough CT perfusion (CTP) is often incorporated in acute stroke workflows, it remains largely unclear what the associated costs and health implications are in the long run of CTP-based patient selection for endovascular treatment (EVT) in patients presenting within 6 hours after symptom onset with a large vessel occlusion.MethodsPatients with a large vessel occlusion were included from a Dutch nationwide cohort (n=703) if CTP imaging was performed before EVT within 6 hours after stroke onset. Simulated cost and health effects during 5 and 10 years follow-up were compared between CTP based patient selection for EVT and providing EVT to all patients. Outcome measures were the net monetary benefit at a willingness-to-pay of euro80 000 per quality-adjusted life year, incremental cost-effectiveness ratio), difference in costs from a healthcare payer perspective (Delta Costs) and quality-adjusted life years (Delta QALY) per 1000 patients for 1000 model iterations as outcomes.ResultsCompared with treating all patients, CTP-based selection for EVT at the optimised ischaemic core volume (ICV >= 110 mL) or core-penumbra mismatch ratio (MMR <= 1.4) thresholds resulted in losses of health (median Delta QALYs for ICV >= 110 mL: -3.3 (IQR: -5.9 to -1.1), for MMR <= 1.4: 0.0 (IQR: -1.3 to 0.0)) with median Delta Costs for ICV >= 110 mL of -euro348 966 (IQR: -euro712 406 to -euro51 158) and for MMR <= 1.4 of euro266 513 (IQR: euro229 403 to euro380 110)) per 1000 patients. Sensitivity analyses did not yield any scenarios for CTP-based selection of patients for EVT that were cost-effective for improving health, including patients aged >= 80 yearsConclusionIn EVT-eligible patients presenting within 6 hours after symptom onset, excluding patients based on CTP parameters was not cost-effective and could potentially harm patients. Show moreBackground: This study aimed to determine the clinical and diagnostic factors associated with mechanical ventilation (MV) in Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) and to simplify the existing Erasmus GBS Respiratory Insufficiency Score (EGRIS) for predicting the risk of MV. Methods: Data from the first 1500 patients included in the prospective International GBS Outcome Study (IGOS) were used. Patients were included across five continents. Patients Results: 1133 (76%) patients met the study criteria. Independent predictors of MV were a shorter time from onset of weakness until admission, the presence of bulbar palsy and weakness of neck flexion and hip flexion. The modified EGRIS (mEGRIS) was based on these factors and accurately predicts the risk of MV with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.84 (0.80-0.88). We internally validated the model within the full IGOS cohort and within separate regional subgroups, which showed AUC values of 0.83 (0.81-0.88) and 0.85 (0.72-0.98), respectively. Conclusions: The mEGRIS is a simple and accurate tool for predicting the risk of MV in GBS. Compared with the original model, the mEGRIS requires less information for predictions with equal accuracy, can be used to predict MV at multiple time points and is also applicable in less severely affected patients and GBS variants. We aimed to explore whether determining extraocular muscle (EOM) weakness using orthoptic measures, including an adapted Hess chart examination, can aid in diagnosing MG. Methods: We conducted a prospective study among patients with acetylcholine receptor antibody positive MG (20 recently diagnosed, 19 chronic) and 14 seronegative MG patients. We compared orthoptic measures to 19 healthy and 18 disease controls with Graves orbitopathy, chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia or oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy. Maximal eye duction angles were measured using a synoptophore. Gaze deviations between eyes were measured using standard Hess chart examination with addition of 1 min persistent gaze to assess MG-associated fatiguability. Receiver operating characteristics curve analysis was performed. Results: For duction angles, the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.73 comparing MG to healthy, and 0.69 comparing to patient controls. For the outer field of the Hess chart, the AUC was 0.89 comparing to healthy and 0.54 to patient controls. For drift, the AUC was 0.93 comparing to healthy and 0.93 to patient controls. The sensitivity and specificity of the presence of drift was 81% and 100%. Discussion: Orthoptic measurements can be used to diagnose MG by quantifying EOM weakness and fatiguability. Drift during persistent gaze on a Hess chart is specific for MG and could be used for diagnostic purposes. The Hess chart examination is widely available, inexpensive and fast. Moreover, orthoptic measurements may be a clinically relevant outcome measure for clinical trials. Show less

Natural history and genotype-phenotype correlation data are limited. This study characterises patients with mutations in VCP gene and investigates genotype-phenotype correlations. Methods: Descriptive retrospective international study collecting clinical and genetic data of patients with mutations in the VCP gene. Results: Two hundred and fifty-five patients (70.0% males) were included in the study. Mean age was 56.8 +/- 9.6 years and mean age of onset 45.6 +/- 9.3 years. Mean diagnostic delay was 7.7 +/- 6 years. Symmetric lower limb weakness was reported in 50% at onset progressing to generalised muscle weakness. Other common symptoms were ventilatory insufficiency 40.3%, PDB 28.2%, dysautonomia 21.4% and FTD 14.3%. Fifty-seven genetic variants were identified, 18 of these no previously reported. c.464G>A (p.Arg155His) was the most frequent variant, identified in the 28%. Full time wheelchair users accounted for 19.1% with a median time from disease onset to been wheelchair user of 8.5 years. Variant c.463C>T (p.Arg155Cys) showed an earlier onset (37.8 +/- 7.6 year) and a higher frequency of axial and upper limb weakness, scapular winging and cognitive impairment. Forced vital capacity (FVC) below 50% was as risk factor for being full-time wheelchair user, while FVC Conclusion: This study expands the knowledge on the phenotypic presentation, natural history, genotype-phenotype correlations and risk factors for disease progression of VCP disease and is useful to improve the care provided to patient with this complex disease. Show moreBackground: Following traumatic brain injury (TBI), the clinical focus is often on disability. However, patients' perceptions of well-being can be discordant with their disability level, referred to as the 'disability paradox'. We aimed to examine the relationship between disability and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) following TBI, while taking variation in personal, injury-related and environment factors into account. Methods: We used data from the Collaborative European NeuroTrauma Effectiveness Research in Traumatic Brain Injury study. Disability was assessed 6 months post-injury by the Glasgow Outcome Scale-Extended (GOSE). HRQoL was assessed by the SF-12v2 physical and mental component summary scores and the Quality of Life after Traumatic Brain Injury overall scale. We examined mean total and domain HRQoL scores by GOSE. We quantified variance in HRQoL explained by GOSE, personal, injury-related and environment factors with multivariable regression. Results: Six-month outcome assessments were completed in 2075 patients, of whom 78% had mild TBI (Glasgow Coma Scale 13-15). Patients with severe disability had higher HRQoL than expected on the basis of GOSE alone, particularly after mild TBI. Up to 50% of patients with severe disability reported HRQoL scores within the normative range. GOSE, personal, injury-related and environment factors explained a limited amount of variance in HRQoL (up to 29%). Conclusion: Contrary to the idea that discrepancies are unusual, many patients with poor functional outcomes reported well-being that was at or above the boundary considered satisfactory for the normative sample. These findings challenge the idea that satisfactory HRQoL in patients with disability should be described as 'paradoxical' and question common views of what constitutes 'unfavourable' outcome. Show moreObjective To evaluate individual and group long-term efficacy and safety of erenumab in individuals with episodic migraine (EM) for whom 2-4 prior preventatives had failed.Methods Participants completing the 12-week double-blind treatment phase (DBTP) of the LIBERTY study could continue into an open-label extension phase (OLEP) receiving erenumab 140 mg monthly for up to 3 years. Main outcomes assessed at week 112 were: >= 50%, >= 75% and 100% reduction in monthly migraine days (MMD) as group responder rate and individual responder rates, MMD change from baseline, safety and tolerability.Results Overall 240/246 (97.6%) entered the OLEP (118 continuing erenumab, 122 switching from placebo). In total 181/240 (75.4%) reached 112 weeks, 24.6% discontinued, mainly due to lack of efficacy (44.0%), participant decision (37.0%) and adverse events (AEs; 12.0%). The >= 50% responder rate was 57.2% (99/173) at 112 weeks. Of >= 50% responders at the end of the DBTP, 36/52 (69.2%) remained responders at >= 50% and 22/52 (42.3%) at >80% of visits. Of the non-responders at the end of the DBTP, 60/185 (32.4%) converted to a50% responders in at least half the visits and 24/185 (13.0%) converted to >= 50% responders in >80% of visits. Change from baseline at 112 weeks in mean (SD) MMD was -4.2 (5.0) days. Common AEs (>= 10%) were nasopharyngitis, influenza and back pain.Conclusions Efficacy was sustained over 112 weeks in individuals with difficult-to-treat EM for whom 2-4 prior migraine preventives had failed. Erenumab treatment was safe and well tolerated, in-line with previous studies. Show less

Show moreGlioblastoma (GB) is the most common and most malignant primary brain tumour in adults. Despite much effort, gold standard therapy has not changed since the introduction of adjuvant temozolomide in 2005 and prognosis remains poor. Despite this, there has been significant improvement in the surgical technology and technique, that has allowed for increased rates of safe maximal resection of the tumour. In addition, our increased knowledge of the biology of GB has revealed more potential targets, especially in the field of immunotherapy, which has been successful in revolutionising treatment of other cancers. We review the current best practice for the treatment of GB and explore some of the more recent advances in GB management from both a surgical and molecular therapeutic perspective. Show less

Show moreObjective To compare the disease course in patients with mild Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) who were treated with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) or supportive care only.Methods We selected patients from the prospective observational International GBS Outcome Study (IGOS) who were able to walk independently at study entry (mild GBS), treated with one IVIg course or supportive care. The primary endpoint was the GBS disability score four weeks after study entry, assessed by multivariable ordinal regression analysis.Results Of 188 eligible patients, 148 (79%) were treated with IVIg and 40 (21%) with supportive care. The IVIg group was more disabled at baseline. IVIg treatment was not associated with lower GBS disability scores at 4 weeks (adjusted OR (aOR) 1.62, 95% CI 0.63 to 4.13). Nearly all secondary endpoints showed no benefit from IVIg, although the time to regain full muscle strength was shorter (28 vs 56 days, p=0.03) and reported pain at 26 weeks was lower (n=26/121, 22% vs n=12/30, 40%, p=0.04) in the IVIg treated patients. In the subanalysis with persistent mild GBS in the first 2 weeks, the aOR for a lower GBS disability score at 4 weeks was 2.32 (95% CI 0.76 to 7.13). At 1 year, 40% of all patients had residual symptoms.Conclusion In patients with mild GBS, one course of IVIg did not improve the overall disease course. The certainty of this conclusion is limited by confounding factors, selection bias and wide confidence limits. Residual symptoms were often present after one year, indicating the need for better treatments in mild GBS. Show less

Show morePurpose The aim of this study was to re-evaluate the differentiation of patients with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) from Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) using a quantitative analysis of I-123-FP-CIT SPECT scans.Methods Thirty-six patients with in vivo I-123-FP-CIT SPECT and neuropathological diagnoses were included. Based on neuropathological criteria, patients were further subclassified into nine AD, eight DLB, ten PD and nine with other diagnoses. An additional 16 healthy controls (HC) scanned with I-123-FP-CIT SPECT were also included. All images were visually assessed as normal versus abnormal uptake by consensus of five nuclear medicine physicians. Bihemispheric mean was calculated for caudate binding potential (CBP), putamen binding potential (PBP) and putamen-to-caudate ratio (PCR).Results Patients with DLB had significantly lower CBP and PBP than patients with AD and significantly higher PCR than patients with PD. Qualitative visual analysis of the images gave an accuracy of 88% in the evaluation of the status of the nigrostriatal pathway considering all individuals, and 96% considering only the patients with PD, AD and DLB. Quantitative analyses provided a balanced accuracy of 94%, 94% and 100% in binary classifications DLB versus AD, DLB versus PD and PD versus AD, respectively, and an accuracy of 93% in the differentiation among patients with DLB, AD and PD simultaneously. No statistically significant differences were observed between the AD and HC.Conclusions This study demonstrates a very high diagnostic accuracy of the quantitative analysis of(I-123-FP-CIT SPECT data to differentiate among patients with DLB, PD and AD. Show moreObjective To evaluate the effect of erenumab on patient-reported, functional outcomes in patients with episodic migraine (EM) in whom 2-4 preventives were not useful from the Phase 3b LIBERTY study.MethodsAs previously reported, 246 patients with EM with 2-4 prior failed preventives were randomised 1:1 to subcutaneous erenumab 140 mg or placebo every 4 weeks for 12 weeks. This analysis evaluated Migraine Physical Function Impact Diary (MPFID), Headache Impact Test (HIT-6) and Work Productivity and Activity Impairment (WPAI) scores at Week 12. P values were nominal without multiplicity adjustment.ResultsErenumab significantly improved MPFID-Physical Impairment (PI) and Everyday Activities (EA) scores versus placebo (treatment difference (TD) (95% CI) MPFID-PI: -3.5 (-5.7 to -1.2) (p=0.003); MPFID-EA: -3.9 (-6.1 to -1.7)) (p<0.001) at 12 weeks. Patients on erenumab were more likely to have a >= 5-point reduction in MPFID score (OR vs placebo (95% CI) MPFID-EA: 2.1 (1.2 to 3.6); MPFID-PI: 2.5 (1.4 to 4.5)). A similar trend was observed for HIT-6 (TD: -3.0; p<0.001); significantly higher proportions of patients on erenumab reported a >= 5-point reduction (OR (95% CI): 2.4 (1.4 to 4.1)). In three out of four WPAI domains, erenumab showed improvement versus placebo.ConclusionAt 12 weeks, erenumab was efficacious on functional outcomes in patients with EM in whom 2-4 preventives were not useful. Modelling the cascade of multimodal biomarker changes aids in understanding the aetiology of this disease and enables monitoring of individual mutation carriers. In this cross-sectional study, we estimated the temporal cascade of biomarker changes for FTD-GRN, in a data-driven way.MethodsWe included 56 presymptomatic and 35 symptomatic GRN mutation carriers, and 35 healthy non-carriers. Selected biomarkers were neurofilament light chain (NfL), grey matter volume, white matter microstructure and cognitive domains. We used discriminative event-based modelling to infer the cascade of biomarker changes in FTD-GRN and estimated individual disease severity through cross-validation. We derived the biomarker cascades in non-fluent variant primary progressive aphasia (nfvPPA) and behavioural variant FTD (bvFTD) to understand the differences between these phenotypes.ResultsLanguage functioning and NfL were the earliest abnormal biomarkers in FTD-GRN. White matter tracts were affected before grey matter volume, and the left hemisphere degenerated before the right. Based on individual disease severities, presymptomatic carriers could be delineated from symptomatic carriers with a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 96.1%. The estimated disease severity strongly correlated with functional severity in nfvPPA, but not in bvFTD. In addition, the biomarker cascade in bvFTD showed more uncertainty than nfvPPA.ConclusionDegeneration of axons and language deficits are indicated to be the earliest biomarkers in FTD-GRN, with bvFTD being more heterogeneous in disease progression than nfvPPA. Our data-driven model could help identify presymptomatic GRN mutation carriers at risk of conversion to the clinical stage. Show less

Show moreObjectiveProgranulin-related frontotemporal dementia (FTD-GRN) is a fast progressive disease. Modelling the cascade of multimodal biomarker changes aids in understanding the aetiology of this disease and enables monitoring of individual mutation carriers. In this cross-sectional study, we estimated the temporal cascade of biomarker changes for FTD-GRN, in a data-driven way.MethodsWe included 56 presymptomatic and 35 symptomatic GRN mutation carriers, and 35 healthy non-carriers. Selected biomarkers were neurofilament light chain (NfL), grey matter volume, white matter microstructure and cognitive domains. We used discriminative event-based modelling to infer the cascade of biomarker changes in FTD-GRN and estimated individual disease severity through cross-validation. We derived the biomarker cascades in non-fluent variant primary progressive aphasia (nfvPPA) and behavioural variant FTD (bvFTD) to understand the differences between these phenotypes.ResultsLanguage functioning and NfL were the earliest abnormal biomarkers in FTD-GRN. White matter tracts were affected before grey matter volume, and the left hemisphere degenerated before the right. Based on individual disease severities, presymptomatic carriers could be delineated from symptomatic carriers with a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 96.1%. The estimated disease severity strongly correlated with functional severity in nfvPPA, but not in bvFTD. In addition, the biomarker cascade in bvFTD showed more uncertainty than nfvPPA.ConclusionDegeneration of axons and language deficits are indicated to be the earliest biomarkers in FTD-GRN, with bvFTD being more heterogeneous in disease progression than nfvPPA. Our data-driven model could help identify presymptomatic GRN mutation carriers at risk of conversion to the clinical stage. Show less

Show moreBackground Chorea is a distinct feature of Huntington{\textquoteright}s Disease (HD) and can be treated with various drugs. Although (deu)tetrabenazine is the only drug endorsed for chorea control by an RCT, it is not suitable for every HD patient due to its side effect profile. (Deu)tetrabenazine is contraindicated in patients with severe depression and/or previous suicidal thoughts. Antipsychotics are then used as off-label alternatives. In Northern Europe, tiapride is therefore regularly prescribed and also highly affordable with {\texteuro}0.55/day for 200 mg. However, tiapride was recently taken off-market in the Netherlands without rationale. As we have very good experiences with tiapride for HD chorea treatment, we decided to evaluate tiapride by performing a systematic review.Aims To review the efficacy and safety profile of tiapride in HD.Methods A systematic search in PubMed, Web of Science, PsychInfo, Embase and the Cochrane Library was performed. Original research on the efficacy or safety profile of tiapride and expert opinions regarding prescribing preferences to treat chorea were included. Tiapride{\textquoteright}s drug safety profile was additionally examined via national and international databanks.Results 11 original data articles and 3 expert opinions were included. The majority of studies (7 out of 11) showed an improvement in chorea while on tiapride. No significant worsening of chorea under tiapride was observed. Due to limited sample sizes not all studies performed statistical tests on their results. In the EU, up to 50\% of HD experts prefer tiapride as first choice monotherapy to treat chorea. Antipsychotics are unanimously favored to treat chorea when comorbid behavioural symptoms are present. Tiapride is generally well tolerated without major safety concerns. Side effects, such as drowsiness, elevated prolactin levels and fatigue, are often rare (< 10\%) and mild.Conclusions Tiapride can be an effective and safe alternative to tetrabenazine while treating chorea in HD. Show moreIntroduction Synapse dysfunction is emerging as an early pathological event in frontotemporal dementia (FTD), however biomarkers are lacking. We aimed to investigate the value of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) neuronal pentraxins (NPTXs), a family of proteins involved in homeostatic synapse plasticity, as novel biomarkers in genetic FTD.Methods We included 106 presymptomatic and 54 symptomatic carriers of a pathogenic mutation in GRN, C9orf72 or MAPT, and 70 healthy non-carriers participating in the Genetic Frontotemporal dementia Initiative (GENFI), all of whom had at least one CSF sample. We measured CSF concentrations of NPTX2 using an in-house ELISA, and NPTX1 and NPTX receptor (NPTXR) by Western blot. We correlated NPTX2 with corresponding clinical and neuroimaging datasets as well as with CSF neurofilament light chain (NfL) using linear regression analyses.Results Symptomatic mutation carriers had lower NPTX2 concentrations (median 643pg/mL, IQR (301-872)) than presymptomatic carriers (1003pg/mL (624-1358), p<0.001) and non-carriers (990pg/mL (597-1373), p<0.001) (corrected for age). Similar results were found for NPTX1 and NPTXR. Among mutation carriers, NPTX2 concentration correlated with several clinical disease severity measures, NfL and grey matter volume of the frontal, temporal and parietal lobes, insula and whole brain. NPTX2 predicted subsequent decline in phonemic verbal fluency and Clinical Dementia Rating scale plus FTD modules. In longitudinal CSF samples, available in 13 subjects, NPTX2 decreased around symptom onset and in the symptomatic stage.Discussion We conclude that NPTX2 is a promising synapse-derived disease progression biomarker in genetic FTD. Show moreObjectiveGenetic subtypes of dystonia may respond differentially to deep brain stimulation of the globus pallidus pars interna (GPi DBS). We sought to compare GPi DBS outcomes among the most common monogenic dystonias.MethodsThis systematic review and meta-analysis followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses and Meta-analysis of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guidelines. We searched PubMed for studies on genetically confirmed monogenic dystonia treated with GPi DBS documenting pre-surgical and post-surgical assessments using the Burke-Fahn-Marsden Dystonia Rating Scale Motor Score (BFMMS) and Burke-Fahn-Marsden Disability Score (BFMDS). We performed (i) meta-analysis for each gene mutation; (ii) weighted ordinary linear regression analyses to compare BFMMS and BFMDS outcomes between DYT-TOR1A and other monogenic dystonias, adjusting for age and disease duration and (iii) weighted linear regression analysis to estimate the effect of age, sex and disease duration on GPi DBS outcomes. Results were summarised with mean change and 95% CI.ResultsDYT-TOR1A (68%, 38.4 points; p<0.001), DYT-THAP1 (37% 14.5 points; p<0.001) and NBIA/DYT-PANK2 (27%, 21.4 points; p<0.001) improved in BFMMS; only DYT-TOR1A improved in BFMDS (69%, 9.7 points; p<0.001). Improvement in DYT-TOR1A was significantly greater than in DYT-THAP1 (BFMMS -31%), NBIA/DYT-PANK2 (BFMMS -35%; BFMDS -53%) and CHOR/DYT-ADCY5 (BFMMS -36%; BFMDS -42%). Worse motor outcomes were associated with longer dystonia duration and older age at dystonia onset in DYT-TOR1A, longer dystonia duration in DYT/PARK-TAF1 and younger age at dystonia onset in DYT-SGCE.ConclusionsGPi DBS outcomes vary across monogenic dystonias. These data serve to inform patient selection and prognostic counselling. Show less

Show moreObjective To study the effect of botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) treatment in jerky and tremulous functional movement disorders (FMD).Methods Patients with invalidating, chronic (>1 year) symptoms were randomly assigned to two subsequent treatments with BoNT or placebo every 3 months with stratification according to symptom localisation. Improvement on the dichotomised Clinical Global Impression-Improvement scale (CGI-I) (improvement vs no change or worsening) at 4 months, assessed by investigators blinded to the allocated treatment was the primary outcome. Subsequently all patients were treated with BoNT in a ten month open-label phase.Results Between January 2011 and February 2015 a total of 239 patients were screened for eligibility of whom 48 patients were included. No difference was found on the primary outcome (BoNT 16 of 25 (64.0%) vs Placebo 13 of 23 patients (56.5%); proportional difference 0.075 (95% CI -0.189 to 0.327; p=0.77). Secondary outcomes (symptom severity, disease burden, disability, quality of life and psychiatric symptoms) showed no between-group differences. The open-label phase showed improvement on the CGI-I in 19/43 (44.2%) of remaining patients, with a total of 35/43 (81.4%) improvement compared with baseline.Conclusions In this double-blind randomised controlled trial of BoNT for chronic jerky and tremulous FMD, we found no evidence of improved outcomes compared with placebo. Motor symptoms improved in a large proportion in both groups which was sustained in the open-label phase. This study underlines the substantial potential of chronic jerky and tremulous FMD patients to recover and may stimulate further exploration of placebo-therapies in these patients. Show less
