Methods: An international task force was formed and solicited three systematic literature research activities on safety and efficacy of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and glucocorticoids (GCs). The new evidence was discussed in light of the last update from 2019. A predefined voting process was applied to each overarching principle and recommendation. Levels of evidence and strengths of recommendation were assigned to and participants finally voted on the level of agreement with each item. Results: The task force agreed on 5 overarching principles and 11 recommendations concerning use of conventional synthetic (cs) DMARDs (methotrexate (MTX), leflunomide, sulfasalazine); GCs; biological (b) DMARDs (tumour necrosis factor inhibitors (adalimumab, certolizumab pegol, etanercept, golimumab, infliximab including biosimilars), abatacept, rituximab, tocilizumab, sarilumab and targeted synthetic (ts) DMARDs, namely the Janus kinase inhibitors tofacitinib, baricitinib, filgotinib, upadacitinib. Guidance on monotherapy, combination therapy, treatment strategies (treat-to-target) and tapering in sustained clinical remission is provided. Safety aspects, including risk of major cardiovascular events (MACEs) and malignancies, costs and sequencing of b/tsDMARDs were all considered. Show moreObjective To assess the use, satisfaction, needs, and preferences regarding physical therapy (PT) in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods A total of 405 SSc patients, treated in the Leiden University Medical Center multidisciplinary care program and fulfilling American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) 2013 SSc criteria, received a questionnaire containing 37 questions on use and satisfaction regarding PT over a 2-year period, and their needs and preferences for future PT. Results A total of 204 SSc patients (median age 63 years, 81% female) completed the questionnaire. One hundred twenty-eight patients (63%) had used or were using PT in a primary care setting. For 39% of patients not using PT, lack of referral or lack of knowledge was the reason for not using it. The most frequently reported active treatments were muscle-strengthening (n = 92 [72%]), range of motion (n = 77 [60%]), and aerobic exercises (n = 72 [56%]). Specific SSc hand- and mouth-opening exercises were reported by 20 (15%) and 7 (6%) patients, respectively. Manual treatment (massage or passive mobilization) was reported by 83 patients (65%). The mean +/- SD satisfaction score (range 0-10) was 8.2 +/- 1.6. Regarding patients' needs, 96 patients (47%) of the total group wanted to receive more information concerning PT, and 128 (63%) wanted to continue, start, or restart PT in the near future, with 56 of the 128 patients (44%) favoring individual treatment on a continuous basis. Conclusion We observed a significant variation in the use and content of PT for SSc patients in a primary care setting. Our results suggest potential underuse of PT care, in particular for hand and oral dysfunction, and underpin the need for initiatives to improve the quality and accessibility of PT care for SSc patients. Show moreBackground: Total hip or knee arthroplasties (THA/TKA) show favorable long-term effects, yet the recovery process may take weeks to months. Physical therapy (PT) following discharge from hospital is an effective intervention to enhance this recovery process. To investigate the relation between recovery and postoperative PT usage, including the presence of comorbidities, 6 months after THA/TKA.Methods: Multicenter, observational study in primary THA/TKA patients who completed preoperative and 6 months postoperative assessments. The assessments included questions on PT use (yes/no and duration; long term use defined as >= 12 weeks), comorbidities (musculoskeletal, non-musculoskeletal, sensory comorbidities and frequency of comorbidities). Recovery was assessed with the HOOS/KOOS on all 5 subdomains. Logistic regression with long term PT as outcome was performed adjusted for confounding including an interaction term (comorbidity*HOOS/KOOS-subdomain).Results: In total, 1289 THA and 1333 TKA patients were included, of whom 95% received postoperative PT, 56% and 67% received postoperative PT >= 12 weeks respectively. In both THA and TKA group, less improvement on all HOOS/KOOS domain scores was associated with >= 12 weeks of postoperative PT (range Odds Ratios 0.97-0.99). In the THA group the impact of recovery was smaller in patient with comorbidities as non- musculoskeletal comorbidities modified all associations between recovery and postoperative PT duration (Odds Ratios range 1.01-1.05). Musculoskeletal comorbidities modified the associations between Function-in-Daily-Living-and Sport-and-recreation recovery and postoperative PT. Sensory comorbidities only had an effect on Sport-and-recreation recovery and postoperative PT. Also the frequency of comorbidities modified the relation between Function-in-Daily-Living, pain and symptoms recovery and postoperative PT. In the TKA group comorbidity did not modify the associations.Conclusion: Worse recovery was associated with longer duration of postoperative PT suggesting that PT provision is in line with patients' needs. The impact of physical recovery on the use of long-term postoperative PT was smaller in THA patients with comorbidities. Show less

Show moreQuestion: In people with knee osteoarthritis, how much more effective is stratified exercise therapy that distinguishes three subgroups (high muscle strength subgroup, low muscle strength subgroup, obesity subgroup) in reducing knee pain and improving physical function than usual exercise therapy? Design: Pragmatic cluster randomised controlled trial in a primary care setting. Participants: A total of 335 people with knee osteoarthritis: 153 in an experimental arm and 182 in a control arm. Intervention: Physiotherapy practices were randomised into an experimental arm providing stratified ex-ercise therapy (supplemented by a dietary intervention from a dietician for the obesity subgroup) or a control arm providing usual, non-stratified exercise therapy. Outcome measures: Primary outcomes were knee pain severity (numerical rating scale for pain, 0 to 10) and physical function (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score subscale activities of daily living, 0 to 100). Measurements were performed at baseline, 3 months (primary endpoint) and 6 and 12 months (follow-up). Intention-to-treat, multilevel, regression analysis was performed. Results: Negligible differences were found between the experimental and control groups in knee pain (mean adjusted difference 0.2, 95% CI -0.4 to 0.7) and physical function (-0.8, 95% CI -4.3 to 2.6) at 3 months. Similar effects between groups were also found for each subgroup separately, as well as at other time points and for nearly all secondary outcome measures. Conclusion: This pragmatic trial demonstrated no added value regarding clinical outcomes of the model of stratified exercise therapy compared with usual exercise therapy. This could be attributed to the experimental arm therapists facing difficulty in effectively applying the model (especially in the obesity subgroup) and to elements of stratified exercise therapy possibly being applied in the control arm. Setting:... Show moreObjective: To examine patient activation from the start of stroke rehabilitation and its course up until the 6-month follow-up. Design: Inception cohort study with a follow-up of 6 months. Setting: Multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility. Participants: A total of 478 patients (N=478) with stroke who received inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation, with a median age of 63.0 years (interquartile range, 56.0-70.0 years) with 308 (64.2%) being men. The study was completed by 439 patients (91.8%). Interventions: Not applicable. Main Outcome Measures: Patient activation was measured with the Patient Activation Measure (PAM) (score 0-100, 4 levels, where a higher score and level denotes more patient activation). The PAM was measured at the start of the rehabilitation (baseline) and 3 and 6 months thereafter and was analyzed using the multivariate mixed model analysis. Results: At baseline, the mean PAM score was 60.2 +/- 14.3, with the number of patients in PAM levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 being 76 (17.8%), 85 (19.9%), 177 (41.4%), and 90 (21.0%), respectively. The multivariate mixed-model analysis demonstrated that the PAM score increased over time (baseline 60.2 +/- 14.3 vs 3 months 60.7 +/- 14.8 vs 6 months 61.9 +/- 18.0; P.007). Between baseline and 6 months, 122 patients (41.4%) remained at the same PAM level, 105 patients (35.6%) increased, and 68 patients (23.1%) decreased. At all time points, > 35% of patients were in level 1 or 2. Conclusions: PAM scores increased slightly over time from the start of rehabilitation up to the 6-month follow-up. However, more than one-third of patients remained at low levels (ie, level 1 and 2) of patient activation, which indicates that specific interventions during rehabilitation to increase patient activation might be of value. Show moreBackground Implementation of an eRehabilitation intervention named Fit After Stroke @Home (Fast@home) - including cognitive/physical exercise applications, activity-tracking, psycho-education - after stroke resulted in health-related improvements. This study investigated what worked and why in the implementation. Methods Implementation activities (information provision, integration of Fast@home, instruction and motivation) were performed for 14 months and evaluated, using the Medical Research Council framework for process evaluations which consists of three evaluation domains (implementation, mechanisms of impact and contextual factors). Implementation activities were evaluated by field notes/surveys/user data, it's mechanisms of impact by surveys and contextual factors by field notes/interviews among 11 professionals. Surveys were conducted among 51 professionals and 73 patients. User data (n = 165 patients) were extracted from the eRehabilitation applications. Results Implementation activities were executed as planned. Of the professionals trained to deliver the intervention (33 of 51), 25 (75.8%) delivered it. Of the 165 patients, 82 (49.7%) were registered for Fast@home, with 54 patient (65.8%) using it. Mechanisms of impact showed that professionals and patients were equally satisfied with implementation activities (median score 7.0 [IQR 6.0-7.75] versus 7.0 [6.0-7.5]), but patients were more satisfied with the intervention (8.0 [IQR 7.0-8.0] versus 5.5 [4.0-7.0]). Guidance by professionals was seen as most impactful for implementation by patients and support of clinical champions and time given for training by professionals. Professionals rated the integration of Fast@home as insufficient. Contextual factors (financial cutbacks and technical setbacks) hampered the implementation. Conclusion Main improvements of the implementation of eRehabilitation are related to professionals' perceptions of the intervention, integration of eRehabilitation and contextual factors.Implication for rehabilitation To increase the use of eRehabilitation by patients, patients should be supported by their healthcare professional in their first time use and during the rehabilitation process. To increase the use of eRehabilitation by healthcare professionals, healthcare professionals should be (1) supported by a clinical champion and (2) provided with sufficient time for learning to work and getting familiar with the eRehabilitation program. Integration of eRehabilitation in conventional stroke rehabilitation (optimal blended care) is an important challenge and a prerequisite for the implementation of eRehabilitation in the clinical setting. Show moreObjective: This study aimed to develop recommendations for communication and postgraduate education regarding primary care physical therapy for systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients. Methods: A virtual Nominal Group Technique was used with tasks forces for communication (n = 18) and education = 21). Both included rheumatologists, physical therapists (PTs) in primary, secondary or tertiary care, rheumatology nurses, advanced nurse practictioners and patient representatives. Three online meetings were organised for each task force to discuss (1) current bottlenecks; (2) potential solutions; and (3) the resulting draft recommendations. After the final adjustments, participants rated their level of agreement with each recommendation on a scale from 0 (not at all agree) to 100 (totally agree), using an online questionnaire. Results: 19 and 34 recommendations were formulated for communication and education, respectively. For communication the main recommendations concerned the provision of an overview of primary care physical therapists with expertise in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases to patients and rheumatologists, the inclusion of the indication by the rheumatologist in the referral to the physical therapist and low-threshold communication with the rheumatologist in case of questions or concerns of the physical therapist. For postgraduate education three types of "on demand" educational offerings were recommended with varying levels of content and duration, to match the competencies and preferences of individual primary care physical therapists. Conclusion: Using a systematic qualitative approach, two multi-stakeholder task forces developed practical recommendations for primary care physical therapists' communication with hospital-based care providers and postgraduate education regarding the treatment of SSc patients. This study aimed to systematically review the literature on the measurement properties and interpretability of PROMIS measures in stroke patients. Methods Nine databases were searched from January 1st, 2007 till April 12th, 2021 for studies concerning the measurement properties and interpretability of PROMIS measures in stroke patients. The findings of these studies were analyzed according to the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) guideline for systematic reviews of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs). Results Ten studies were included. The PROMIS Global Health was studied the most: its two subscales had sufficient structural validity in one study of very good quality, sufficient construct validity with > 75% of hypotheses tested confirmed (high GRADE rating), sufficient internal consistency, i.e. alpha >= 0.70 in two studies (high GRADE rating), sufficient reliability, i.e. ICC >= 0.70 in one study of doubtful quality, and indeterminate responsiveness in one study of inadequate quality. For other PROMIS measures, the measurement properties and interpretability were limitedly studied. Conclusion The PROMIS Global Health showed sufficient structural and construct validity and internal consistency in stroke patients. There is a need for further research on content validity, structural validity, and measurement invariance of PROMIS measures in stroke patients. Show less

Show moreObjective: Previous research suggested better recovery in functioning of patients with hemorrhagic as compared to ischemic stroke. Now that more effective acute treatment for ischemic stroke, i.e. thrombolysis and thrombectomy, has become available, this observational cohort study aimed to examine if current rehabilitation outcomes differ between patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: The Barthel Index, 4 domains of the Stroke Impact Scale (SIS) and the EuroQol 5Dimensions were completed in all consecutive patients who received stroke rehabilitation at start of rehabilitation and during follow-up (for Barthel Index at discharge, SIS and EuroQol 5D after three and six months). Outcomes and recovery (i.e. change of scores between baseline and last follow-up) were compared between patients with hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke (total and categorized by initial hospital treatment) using the Kruskall Wallis test. In addition, recovery was compared between ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke in multiple regression analyses with bootstrapping. Results: Baseline functioning did not differ between 117 patients with a hemorrhagic stroke, 118 ischemic stroke patient treated with reperfusion therapy, and 125 ischemic stroke patients without reperfusion therapy. There were no differences in functioning at follow-up nor in recovery concerning the Barthel Index, SIS domains 'mobility', 'communication', 'memory and thinking' and 'mood and emotions', and EuroQoL 5D between the three categories. Conclusions: In a rehabilitation population the recovery and functioning at three or six months did not differ between ischemic stroke patients and hemorrhagic stroke patients, regardless of the hospital treatment they had received. Show moreIntroduction: Informal caregivers often support nursing home residents with dementia in making therapeutic decisions. We explored the perceptions, needs and preferences of informal caregivers of nursing home residents with dementia regarding physical therapy.Method: We conducted eleven semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis was used.Results: Five themes emerged: 1) visibility and familiarity; 2) communication; 3) aim and content; 4) dosage and location; 5) level of expertise and the role of the physical therapist within the interdisciplinary team. Informal caregivers' perceptions of physical therapy included a lack of visibility and familiarity. They needed more communication, and empathic communication skills of the physical therapists. Preferences included physical therapy to be enjoyable, accessible and tailored to the needs of the resident.Conclusion: Physical therapists need to involve informal caregivers in physical therapy care. Implementing shared decision-making will help to get informal caregivers more involved, but has yet to be studied in this setting. (C) 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. Show less

Show moreChronic pain is frequently reported after total hip and knee arthroplasties (THA/TKA) in osteoarthritis (OA) patients. We investigated if severity of acute postoperative pain following THA/TKA in OA patients was associated with pain during the first postoperative year. From an observational study, OA patients scheduled for primary THA/TKA (June 2012-December 2017) were included from two hospitals in the Netherlands. Acute postoperative pain scores were collected within 72 h postoperatively and categorized as no/mild (NRS <= 4) or moderate/severe (NRS > 4). Pain was assessed preoperatively, 3, 6 and 12 months postoperatively using the HOOS/KOOS subscale pain. With Multilevel Mixed-effects-analyses, we estimated associations between acute and chronic pain until one year postoperative, adjusted for confounders and including an interaction term (Time*Acute pain). 193 THA and 196 TKA patients were included, 29% of THA and 51% of TKA patients reported moderate/severe pain acutely after surgery. In the THA group, the difference in pain at 3 months between the no/mild and moderate/severe groups, was approximately six points, in favor of the no/mild group (95% CI [-12.4 to 0.9]) this difference became smaller over time. In the TKA group we found similar differences, with approximately four points (95% CI [-9.6 to 1.3]) difference between the no/mild and moderate/severe group at 6 months, this difference attenuated at 12 months. No association between severity of acute postoperative pain and pain during the first postoperative year was found. These findings suggest that measures to limit acute postoperative pain will likely not impact development of chronic pain. Show less

Show moreBackground: The Ankylosing Spondylitis Association of Switzerland (SVMB) aimed to implement physical activity recommendations (PAR) within their exercise groups (EGs). The PAR promote exercise in all fitness dimensions at the correct dose. To implement the PAR within EGs, they were translated into a new EG concept with five key activities: (a) training for supervising physiotherapists (PTs), (b) correctly dosed exercises in all fitness dimensions, (c) exercise counselling, (d) bi-annual fitness assessments, and (e) individual exercise training, in addition to EG. All these activities were realized in close coordination with SVMB management.Objectives: To analyse the implementation success by evaluating adherence/fidelity, feasibility, and satisfaction at the patient, PTs, and organisational level.Methods: The five key activities of the new EG concept were developed, executed, and assessed after 6 months. The primary outcomes for implementation success were adherence of patients to the recommended exercise behaviour, self-reported by electronic diary; fidelity of PTs to the new concept, self-reported by diary; SVMB organisational changes. Secondary outcomes were feasibility and satisfaction with the new EG concept at all three levels. The tertiary outcome, to evaluate the effectiveness of PAR, was patient fitness, assessed through fitness assessments.Results: 30 patients with axSpA (ten women, mean age 58 +/- 9 years) and four PTs (three women, mean age 46 +/- 9 years) participated. The patients' self-reporting of adherence to the PAR was insufficient (43%), possibly due to technical problems with the electronic dairy. The PTs' fidelity to the new EG concept was satisfactory. On all levels, the new concept was generally perceived as feasible and useful for supporting personalised exercise.The frequency of exercise counselling and the fitness assessments was found by patients and PTs to be too high and rigid. Patients' cardiorespiratory fitness [ES 1.21 (95%CI 0.59, 1.89)] and core strength [ES 0.61 (95%CI 0.18, 1.06)] improved over the 6 months.Conclusions: The pilot implementation of PAR showed acceptance and satisfaction to be sufficient, thus confirming the need for evidence-based EGs, provided by a patient organisation in order to support active PA behaviour. However, adaptations are necessary to increase its feasibility for nationwide implementation. Show less

Show moreBackground and purpose - In the past decade, a shift occurred in surgical total hip arthroplasty (THA) approaches to the posterolateral (PLA) and direct anterior approach (DAA). Comparisons of postoperative activities and participation between surgical approaches for THA are sparse. We therefore investigated the association between PLA and DAA for THA regarding the construct "activity and participation" (ICF model) during the first postoperative year.Patients and methods - This was an observational cohort study on osteoarthritis patients scheduled for primary THA in 2 hospitals. Questionnaires to assess the ICF domain "activity and participation" were completed preoperatively, and 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively (HOOS Activities of daily living (ADL) and Sport and Recreation Function (SR), Hospital for Special Surgery Hip Replacement Expectations Survey, and questions regarding return to work). Each hospital exclusively performed one approach (PLA [Alloclassic-Zweymuller stem] or DAA [Taperloc Complete stem]) for uncemented THA. Hospital was included as instrumental variable, thereby addressing bias by (un)measured confounders. Adjusted mixed-effect models were used, stratified by employment.Results - Total population: 238 PLA (24% employed) and 622 DAA (26% employed) patients. At 12 months, the PLA group had a lower ADL score (-7, 95% CI -12 to -2 points). At 6 months, significantly fewer PLA patients had fulfillment of the expectation sports-performance (OR = 0.3, CI 0.2-0.7]. Other outcomes were comparable.Employed population: At 6 and 12 months, PLA patients scored clinically lower on ADL (respectively -10, CI -19 to 0 and -9, CI -19 to 0 points) and SR (respectively -13, CI -21 to -4 and -9, CI -18 to -1 points). At 6 months, fewer PLA patients fulfilled the expectation joining recreational activities (OR = 0.2, CI 0.1-0.7]. Fulfillment of other expectations was comparable between groups. PLA patients less often returned to work within 3 months (31% vs. 45%), but rates were comparable at 12 months (86% vs. 87%).Interpretation - Overall, functional recovery regarding "activity and participation" was comparable for PLA and DAA. Among employed patients, DAA resulted in better functional recovery and more fulfillment of expectations compared with PLA patients. DAA might also facilitate faster return to work. Show less

Show moreObjectives Research on effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of longstanding exercise therapy in patients with axial SpondyloArthritis (axSpA) or Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is scarce, and mainly concerned patients with a relatively favorable health status. We aim to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of longstanding exercise therapy compared to usual care in the subgroup of patients with axSpA or RA and severe limitations in functioning. Methods In two separate, parallel randomized controlled trials the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of longstanding, active exercise therapy (52 weeks) compared with usual care (1:1) will be evaluated. The longstanding, active exercise therapy will focus on improving individual limitations in daily activities and participation and will be given by a trained physical therapist in the vicinity of the participant. For each diagnosis, 215 patients with severe limitations in activities and participation will be included. Assessments are performed at baseline, 12, 26, and 52 weeks. The primary outcome measure of effectiveness is the individual level of functioning (activities and participation), as measured with the Patient-Specific Complaints instrument at 52 weeks. For cost-effectiveness analyses, the EuroQol (EQ-5D-5L) and questionnaires on healthcare use and productivity will be administered. The economic evaluation will be a cost-utility analysis from a societal perspective. After 52 weeks, the patients in the usual care group are offered longstanding, active exercise therapy as well. Follow-up assessments are done at 104, 156, and 208 weeks. Conclusion The results of these studies will provide insights in the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of longstanding exercise therapy in the subgroup of axSpA and RA patients with severe functional limitations. Show moreBACKGROUND: Optimizing self-management is a key element in multidisciplinary pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with asthma or COPD. This observational study aimed to investigate the changes in self-management following pulmonary rehabilitation in subjects with chronic lung disease. METHODS: Data were prospectively and routinely gathered at initial assessment and discharge in subjects taking part in a 12-week multidisciplinary out-patient pulmonary rehabilitation program. Measures of self-management included the Patient Activation Measure (PAM), the Health Education Impact Questionnaire (HEIQ) (8 subscales), a Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (2 subscales), the Lung Information Needs Questionnaire (LINQ), and the Health Literacy Questionnaire (HLQ) (9 subscales). Mean differences with 95% CI and effect sizes were computed. RESULTS: A total of 70 subjects (62.9% women) were included, with a median age of 63.5 y; most of the subjects had been diagnosed with COPD (77%). Between admission and discharge, all measures of self-management increased significantly except for the HEIQ subscales of constructive attitudes and approaches, social integration and support, and health services navigation; and the HLQ subscale of social support for health. The largest improvements (effect size > 0.55) were seen for the PAM (0.57); the HEIQ subscales of health-directed behavior (0.71), self-monitoring and insight (0.62), and skill and technique acquisition (1.00); the HLQ subscales of having sufficient information to manage my health (1.21) and actively managing my health (0.66); and the LINQ (1.85). CONLCUSIONS: Self-management, including activation, improved significantly in subjects with asthma or COPD who took part in a multidisciplinary pulmonary rehabilitation program. Show moreBackground: We aimed to investigate the application of the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) percentile curves, using preoperative and postoperative data of patients with knee osteoarthritis undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA).Methods: We used Longitudinal Leiden Orthopedics Outcomes of Osteo-Arthritis study data of patients between 45 and 65 years and undergoing primary TKA. KOOS scores (0-100) were obtained preoperatively and 6, 12, and 24 months after TKA. Preoperative knee radiographs were assessed according to Kellgren-Lawrence (KL) in a subset (37%) of patients. Comorbidities were self-reported using a standardized questionnaire. The median (interquartile range) population-level KOOS scores were plotted on previously developed population-based KOOS percentile curves. In addition, we assessed the application of the curves on patient level and investigated differences in scores between patients with preoperative KL scores <= 2 and >= 3 and presence (vs absence) of comorbidities.Results: The study population consisted of 853 patients (62% women, mean age 59 years, body mass index 30 kg/m(2)) with knee osteoarthritis undergoing primary TKA. Preoperatively, median KOOS scores of all subscales were at or below the 2.5th percentile. Scores increased to approximately the 25th percentile 12 months postoperatively. Greater improvements were observed in pain and less improvements in sport and recreational function and quality of life. Patients with higher preoperative KL scores and without comorbidities showed greater improvements.Conclusion: The KOOS percentile curves provided visual insights in knee complaints of patients relative to the general population. Furthermore, the KOOS percentile curves give insight in how preoperative patient characteristics are correlated with postoperative results. (C) 2021 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Inc. Show less
