Show moreBackground and Aims: Previous trials comparing cyclo-sporine and tacrolimus after liver transplantation (LT) showed conflicting results. Most used trough monitoring for cyclo-sporine (C0), leading to less accurate dosing than with 2-h monitoring (C2). Only one larger trial compared C2 with tac-rolimus based on trough level (T0) after LT, with similar treat-ed biopsy-proven acute rejection (tBPAR) and graft loss, while a smaller trial had less tBPAR with C2 compared to T0. There-fore, it is still unclear which calcineurin inhibitor is preferred after LT. We aimed to demonstrate superior efficacy (tBPAR), tolerability, and safety of C2 or T0 after first LT. Methods: Patients after first LT were randomized to C2 or T0. tBPAR, patient-and graft survival, safety and tolerability were the main endpoints, with analysis by Fisher test, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and log-rank test. Results: In intention-to- treat analysis 84 patients on C2 and 85 on T0 were included. Cumulative incidence of tBPAR C2 vs. T0 was 17.7% vs. 8.4% at 3 months (p=0.104), and 21.9% vs. 9.7% at 6 and 12 months (p=0.049). One-year cumulative mortality C2 vs. T0 was 15.5% vs. 5.9% (p=0.049) and graft loss 23.8% vs. 9.4% (p=0.015). Serum triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol was lower with T0 than with C2. Incidence of diarrhea in T0 vs, C2 was 64% vs. 31% (p <= 0.001), with no other differences in safety and tolerability. Conclusions: In the first year after LT immunosuppression with T0 leads to less tBPAR and better patient-/re-transplant-free survival as compared to C2. Show less

In patients that survived 14-years, there was no effect of complications on HRQoL detected.Background: Survival for rectal cancer patients has improved over the past decades. In parallel, long-term health -related quality of life (HRQoL) is gaining interest. This study focuses on the effect of complications following rectal cancer surgery on HRQoL and survival. Methods: The TME-trial (1996-1999) randomized patients with operable rectal cancer between surgery with preoperative short-course radiotherapy and surgery. Questionnaires including the Rotter-dam Symptom Checklist were sent at 6 time points within the first 24 months and after 14 years the EORTC QLQ-C30 and EORTC QLQ-CR29 questionnaires. Differences in HRQoL and survival between patients with and without compli-cations were analyzed. Results: A total of 1207 patients were included, of which 482 (39.9%) patients experienced complications, surgical complications occurred in 177 (14.6%) patients, non-surgical complications in 197 (16.3%) and 108 patients (8.9%) had a combination of both types of complications. Three months after surgery, patients with a combination of surgical-and non-surgical complications, especially patients with anastomotic leakage, had the worst HRQoL. Twelve months postoperative HRQoL returned to a similar level as before surgery, regardless of complications. In patients who survived 14 years, no significant differences in HRQoL were seen between patients with and without complications. However, patients with complications did have lower overall survival. Conclusion: This study shows that survival and short-term HRQoL are negatively affected by complications. Twelve months after surgery HRQoL had returned to the preoperative level regardless, of complications. Also, in patients that survived 14 years, there was no effect of complications on HRQoL detected. Show less

Prevalence, incidence and survival rates of major CNS neuropsychiatric (NP)-SLE as a group and the individual NP manifestations cere-brovascular disease (CVD), seizure, psychosis, organic brain syndrome and transverse myelitis were calculated. Furthermore, the contribution of these manifestations on mortality was analysed in Cox regression models adjusted for confounders. Results: A total of 3591 SLE patients were included. Of them, 412 (11.5%) developed a total of 522 major CNS NP-SLE manifestations. 61 patients (12%) with major CNS NP-SLE died. The annual mortality rate for patients with and without ever major CNS NP-SLE was 10.8% vs 3.8%, respectively. Individually, CVD (14%) and organic brain syndrome (15.5%) showed the highest mortality rates. Show morePurpose: Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is a common neurological disease often affecting the elderly. Long-term excess mortality for patients after CSDH has been suggested but causes of death are unknown. We hypothesize that excess mortality of CSDH patients is related to frailty. In this article, we describe mortality rates and causes of death of CSDH patients compared with the general population and assess the association of frailty with mortality. Methods: A cohort study in which consecutive CSDH patients were compared to the general population regarding mortality rates. Furthermore, the association of six frailty indicators (cognitive problems, frequent falling, unable to live independently, unable to perform daily self-care, use of benzodiazepines or psychotropic drugs, and number of medications) with mortality was assessed. Results: A total of 1307 CSDH patients were included, with a mean age of 73.7 (SD +/- 11.4) years and 958 (73%) were male. Median follow-up was 56 months (range: 0-213). Compared with controls CSDH patients had a hazard ratio for mortality of 1.34 (95% CI: 1.2-1.5). CSDH patients more often died from cardiovascular diseases (37% vs. 30%) and falls (7.2% vs. 3.7%). Among CSDH patients frequent falling (HR 1.3; 95% CI: 1.0-1.7), inability to live independently (HR 1.4, 95% CI: 1.1-1.8), inability to perform daily self-care (HR 1.5; 95% CI: 1.1-1.9), and number of medications used (HR 1.0; 95% CI: 1.0-1.1) were independently associated with mortality. Conclusions: CSDH patients have higher mortality rates than the general population. Frailty in CSDH patients is associated with higher mortality risk. More attention for the frailty of CSDH patients is warranted. Show less

Show moreBACKGROUND Left ventricular (LV) dilatation may limit LV reverse remodeling after cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of baseline LV volumes on LV reverse remodeling after CRT and whether this is associated with improved survival. METHODS Patients were stratified into quintiles according to baseline LV end-diastolic volume indexed for body surface area (LVEDVi). LV reverse remodeling was defined as >= 15% reduction in LV end-systolic volume at 6-month follow-up after CRT. Independent associates of LV remodeling were assessed and long-term mortality rates were compared between patients with and without LV reverse remodeling (across LVEDVi quintiles). RESULTS A total of 864 patients were included (mean age 66 +/- 10 years; 657 patients (76%) were male), of whom 101 (12%) were in quintile 1 (<65 mL/m(2)), 272 (32%) in quintile 2 (65-95 mL/m(2)), 247 (29%) in quintile 3 (95-125 mL/m(2)), 151 (18%) in quintile 4 (125-155 mL/m(2)), and 93 (11%) in quintile 5 (.155 mL/m(2)). Patients with larger baseline LVEDVi had worse survival after CRT (log-rank, P = .019). The cumulative 10-year survival was significantly better in patients with vs without LV reverse remodeling (48.7% vs 33.9%; P < .001). Significant LV reverse remodeling was observed in all LVEDVi quintiles. In addition, patients with LV reverse remodeling had superior survival than did patients without LV reverse remodeling, regardless of baseline LVEDVi quintile (log-rank, P < .05 for all). CONCLUSION Many patients with larger baseline LV volumes still show significant LV reverse remodeling after CRT and had superior survival (regardless of baseline LV volumes) than did patients without LV reverse remodeling. Therefore, CRT should not be denied on the basis of severe LV dilatation. Show less

Our aim is to clarify the prognostic impact of tumor size in BRCA mutation carriers with a pT1 BC, which is currently unclear. We are especially interested in differences between pT1a, pT1b, and pT1c regarding the prognosis of node-negative breast cancer, the effect of chemotherapy, and the prevalence of lymph node involvement. Methods For this study, BRCA1/2-associated BC patients were selected from a nationwide cohort. Primary outcomes were 10-year overall survival (OS) per pT1a-b-c group and the effect of chemotherapy on prognosis of node-negative BC, using Kaplan-Meier and Cox models. Finally, we evaluated lymph node involvement per pT1a-b-c group. Results 963 women with pT1 BRCA1/2-associated BC diagnosed between 1990 and 2017 were included, of which 679 had pN0 BC. After a median follow-up of 10.5 years, 10-year OS in patients without chemotherapy was 77.1% in pT1cN0 and lower than for pT1aN0 (91.4%, p = 0.119) and pT1bN0 (90.8%, p = 0.024). OS was better with than without chemotherapy for pT1cN0 (91.6% vs. 77.1%, p = 0.001; hazard ratio (HR) 0.56, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.21-1.48). Lymph node involvement was 24.9% in pT1c, 18.8% in pT1b, and 8.6% in pT1a. Conclusion Smaller tumor size is associated with better OS and less lymph node involvement in pT1 BRCA1/2-associated BC patients. The results suggest that early detection in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers of pT1a/b BC may reduce mortality and the need for systemic therapy. Show less

Show moreBackground: Recent reports suggest the limited efficacy of immune checkpoints inhibitors in advanced acral melanoma (AM). This study aims to investigate the clinical outcomes of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with stage III and IV AM and compare them to cutaneous melanoma (CM). Methods: We included patients with advanced AM and CM treated with first-line anti -programmed cell death (PD)-1 monotherapy or ipilimumab-nivolumab registered in the prospective nationwide Dutch Melanoma Treatment Registry. Objective response rates, progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were calculated. A Cox proportional hazard model was used to assess the prognostic factors with PFS and OS. Results: In total, 2058 patients (88 AM and 1970 CM) with advanced melanoma were included. First-line objective response rates were 34% for AM versus 54% for CM in the advanced anti-PD-1 cohort and 33% for AM versus 53% for CM in the advanced ipilimumab-nivolumab cohort. The Median PFS was significantly shorter for anti-PD-1 treated AM patients (3.1 months; 95%CI: 2.8-5.6) than patients with CM (10.1 months; 95%CI: 8.5-12.2) (P < 0.001). In patients with advanced melanoma, AM was significantly associated with a higher risk of progression (HRadj 1.63; 95%CI: 1.26-2.11 ; P < 0.001) and death (HRadj 1.54; 95%CI: 1.15-2.06; P Z 0.004) than CM. Conclusions: This study shows lower effectiveness of anti-PD-1 monotherapy and ipilimumab-nivolumab in AM, with lower response rates, PFS and OS than CM. Show moreAims: Myocardial infarction (MI) is among the commonest attributable risk factors for heart failure (HF). We compared clinical characteristics associated with the progression to HF in patients with or without a history of MI in the HOMAGE cohort and validated our results in UK Biobank. Methods and results: During a follow-up of 5.2 (3.5-5.9) years, 177 (2.4%) patients with prior MI and 370 (1.92%) patients without prior MI experienced HF onset in the HOMAGE cohort (n = 26 478, history of MI: n = 7241). Older age, male sex and higher heart rate were significant risk factors of HF onset in patients with and without prior MI. Lower renal function was more strongly associated with HF onset in patients with prior MI. Higher body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure and blood glucose were significantly associated with HF onset only in patients without prior MI (all p for interactions <0.05). In the UK Biobank (n = 500 001, history of MI: n = 4555), higher BMI, glycated haemoglobin, diabetes and hypertension had a stronger association with HF onset in participants without prior MI compared to participants with MI (all p for interactions <0.05). Conclusion: The importance of clinical risk factors associated with HF onset is dependent on whether the patient has had a prior MI. Diabetes and hypertension are associated with new-onset HF only in the absence of MI history. Patients may benefit from targeted risk management based on MI history. Show less

Show moreElderly patients represent a growing proportion of individuals with glioblastoma, who however, are often excluded from clinical trials owing to poor expected prognosis. We aimed at identifying age-related molecular differences that would justify and guide distinct treatment decisions in elderly glioblastoma patients. The combined DNA methylome (450 k) of four IDH wild-type glioblastoma datasets, comprising two clinical trial cohorts, was interrogated for differences based on the patients' age, DNA methylation (DNAm) age acceleration (DNAm age "Horvath-clock" minus patient age), DNA methylation-based tumor classification (Heidelberg), entropy, and functional methylation of DNA damage response (DDR) genes. Age dependent methylation included 19 CpGs (p-value <= 0.1, Bonferroni corrected), comprising a CpG located in the ELOVL2 gene that is part of a 13-gene forensic age predictor. Most of the age related CpGs (n = 16) were also associated with age acceleration that itself was associated with a large number of CpGs (n = 50,551). Over 70% age acceleration-associated CpGs (n = 36,348) overlapped with those associated with the DNA methylation based tumor classification (n = 170,759). Gene set enrichment analysis identified associated pathways, providing insights into the biology of DNAm age acceleration and respective commonalities with glioblastoma classification. Functional methylation of several DDR genes, defined as correlation of methylation with gene expression (r <= -0.3), was associated with age acceleration (n = 8), tumor classification (n = 12), or both (n = 4), the latter including MGMT. DNAm age acceleration was significantly associated with better outcome in both clinical trial cohorts, whereof one comprised only elderly patients. Multivariate analysis included treatment (RT, RT/TMZ -> TMZ; TMZ, RT), MGMT promoter methylation status, and interaction with treatment. In conclusion, DNA methylation features of age acceleration are an integrative part of the methylation-based tumor classification (RTK I, RTK II, MES), while patient age seems hardly reflected in the glioblastoma DNA methylome. We found no molecular evidence justifying other treatments in elderly patients, not owing to frailty or co-morbidities. Show less

Show moreAim: In the registration trial, cabozantinib exposure >= 750 ng/mL correlated to improved tumor size reduction, response rate and progression free survival (PFS) in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer (mRCC). Because patients in routine care often differ from patients in clinical trials, we explored the cabozantinib exposure-response relationship in patients with mRCC treated in routine care. Methods: Cabozantinib trough concentrations (C-min) were collected and average exposure was calculated per individual. Exposure-response analyses were performed using the earlier identified target of C-min > 750 ng/mL and median C-min. In addition, the effect of dose reductions on response was explored. PFS was used as measure of response. Results: In total, 59 patients were included:10% were classified as favourable, 61% as intermediate and 29% as poor IMDC risk group, respectively. Median number of prior treatment lines was 2 (0-5). Starting dose was 60 mg in 46%, 40 mg in 42% and 20 mg in 12% of patients. Dose reductions were needed in 58% of patients. Median C-min was 572 ng/mL (IQR: 496-701). Only 17% of patients had an average C-min >= 750 ng/mL. Median PFS was 52 weeks (95% CI: 40-64). No improved PFS was observed for patients with C-min >= 750 ng/mL or >= 572 ng/ml. A longer PFS was observed for patients with a dose reduction vs. those without (65 vs. 31 weeks, p = .001). After incorporating known covariates (IMDC risk group and prior treatment lines (< 2 vs. >= 2)) in the multivariable analysis, the need for dose reduction remained significantly associated with improved PFS (HR 0.32, 95% CI:0.14-0.70, p = .004). Conclusion: In these explorative analyses, no clear relationship between increased cabozantinib exposure and improved PFS was observed. Average cabozantinib exposure was below the previously proposed target in 83% of patients. Future studies should focus on validating the cabozantinib exposure required for long term efficacy. Show moreBackground: Previous studies have shown that survival outcomes for older patients with breast cancer vary substantially across Europe, with worse survival reported in the United Kingdom. It has been hypothesised that these differences in survival outcomes could be related to treatment variation. Objectives: We aimed to compare patient and tumour characteristics, treatment selection and survival outcomes between two large prospective cohorts of older patients with operable breast cancer from the United Kingdom (UK) and The Netherlands.Methods: Women diagnosed with operable breast cancer aged >70 years were included. A baseline comprehensive geriatric assessment was performed in both cohorts, with data collected on age, comorbidities, cognition, nutritional and functional status. Baseline tumour characteristics and treatment type were collected. Univariable and multivariable Cox regression models were used to compare overall survival between the cohorts. Results: 3262 patients from the UK Age Gap cohort and 618 patients from the Dutch Climb cohort were included, with median ages of 77.0 (IQR: 72.0-81.0) and 75.0 (IQR: 72.0-81.0) years, respectively. The cohorts were generally comparable, with slight differences in rates of comorbidity and frailty. Median follow-up for overall survival was 4.1 years (IQR 2.9-5.4) in Age Gap and 4.3 years (IQR 2.9-5.5) in Climb. In Age Gap, both the rates of primary endocrine therapy and adjuvant hormonal therapy after surgery were approximately twice those in Climb (16.6% versus 7.3%, p < 0.001 for primary endocrine therapy, and 62.2% versus 38.8%, p < 0.001 for adjuvant hormonal therapy). There was no evidence of a difference in overall survival between the cohorts (adjusted HR 0.94, 95% CI 0.74-1.17, p Z 0.568). Conclusions: In contrast to previous studies, this comparison of two large national prospective longitudinal multi-centre cohort studies demonstrated comparable survival outcomes between older patients with breast cancer treated in the UK and The Netherlands, despite differences in treatment allocation.(C) 2022 The Authors. Show morePurpose: Despite known high-risk features, accurate identification of patients at high risk of cancer recurrence in colon cancer remains a challenge. As tumour stroma plays an important role in tumour invasion and metastasis, the easy, low-cost and highly reproducible tumour-stroma ratio (TSR) could be a valuable prognostic marker, which is also believed to predict chemo resistance. Methods: Two independent series of patients with colon cancer were selected. TSR was estimated by microscopic analysis of 4 mu m haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained tissue sections of the primary tumour and the corresponding metastatic lymph nodes. Patients were categorized as TSR-low (<= 50%) or TSR-high (> 50%). Differences in overall survival and cancer-free survival were analysed by Kaplan-Meier curves and cox-regression analyses. Analyses were conducted for TNM-stage I-II, TNM-stage III and patients with an indication for chemotherapy separately. Results: We found that high TSR was associated with poor cancer-free survival in TNM-stage I-II colon cancer in two independent series, independent of other known high-risk features. This association was also found in TNM-stage III tumours, with an additional prognostic value of TSR in lymph node metastasis to TSR in the primary tumour alone. In addition, high TSR was found to predict chemo resistance in patients receiving adjuvant chemotherapy after surgical resection of a TNM-stage II-III colon tumour. Conclusion: In colon cancer, the TSR of both primary tumour and lymph node metastasis adds significant prognostic value to current pathologic and clinical features used for the identification of patients at high risk of cancer recurrence, and also predicts chemo resistance. Show moreBackground: Routine lymphadenectomy during metastasectomy for pulmonary metastases of colorectal cancer has been recommended by several recent expert consensus meetings. However, evidence supporting lymphadenectomy is limited. The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review of the literature on the impact of simultaneous lymph node metastases on patient survival during metastasectomy for colorectal pulmonary metastases (CRPM).Methods: A systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines of studies on lymphadenectomy during pulmonary metastasectomy for CRPM. Articles published between 2000 and 2020 were identified from Medline, Embase and the Cochrane Library without language restriction. Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) framework was used to assess the risk of bias and applicability of included studies. Survival rates were assessed and compared for the presence and level of nodal involvement.Results: Following review of 8054 studies by paper and abstract, 27 studies comprising 3619 patients were included in the analysis. All patients included in these studies underwent lymphadenectomy during pulmonary metastasectomy for CRPM. A total of 690 patients (19.1%) had simultaneous lymph node metastases. Five-year overall survival for patients with and without lymph node metastases was 18.2% and 51.3%, respectively (p < .001). Median survival for patients with lymph node metastases was 27.9 months compared to 58.9 months in patients without lymph node metastases (p < .001). Five-year overall survival for patients with N1 and N2 lymph node metastases was 40.7% and 10.9%, respectively (p = .064).Conclusion: Simultaneous lymph node metastases of CRPM have a detrimental impact on survival and this is most apparent for mediastinal lymph node metastases. Show moreSurvival of patients with colorectal cancer improved markedly over the past decades, as a result of advances in screening, staging procedures, treatment, and surveillance. However, still about 20% of patients with colorectal cancer develop metachronous metastases and 20% of all patients with colorectal cancer have metastatic disease at diagnosis. Several treatment modalities, such as total mesorectal excision (TME) and preoperative (chemo)radiotherapy for rectal cancer, as well as adjuvant chemotherapy for stage III colon cancer, have been studied extensively and showed to improve cancer-related outcomes. On the contrary, the effectiveness of other treatment modalities including adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer and for stage II colon cancer, and surgery of the primary tumour in incurable metastatic colorectal cancer are still subject of debate. Moreover, there is considerable short-term and long-term morbidity after (chemo)radiotherapy or surgery which should be taken into account. Further defining optimal treatment strategies is therefore of great importance. This thesis focused on improving evidence for treatment modalities that are currently subject of debate for patients with colorectal cancer. Show moreBackground: Surgery is the primary treatment for non-metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) but is omitted in a proportion of older patients. Characteristics and prognosis of non-surgical patients are largely unknown.Objective: To examine the characteristics and survival of surgical and non-surgical older patients with non-metastatic CRC in the Netherlands.Methods: All patients aged >= 70 years and diagnosed with non-metastatic CRC between 2014 and 2018 were identified in the Netherlands Cancer Registry. Patients were divided based on whether they underwent surgery or not. Three-year overall survival (OS) and relative survival (RS) were calculated for both groups separately. Relative survival and relative excess risks (RER) of death were used as measures for cancer-related survival.Results: In total, 987/20.423 (5%) colon cancer patients and 1.459/7.335 (20%) rectal cancer patients did not undergo surgery. Non-surgical treatment increased over time from 3.7% in 2014 to 4.8% in 2018 in colon cancer patients (P = 0.01) and from 17.1% to 20.2% in rectal cancer patients (P = 0.03). 3 year RS was 91% and 9% for surgical and non-surgical patients with colon cancer, respectively. For rectal cancer patients this was 93% and 37%, respectively. In surgical patients, advanced age (>= 80 years) did not decrease RS (colon; RER 0.9 (0.7-1.0), rectum; RER 0.9 (0.7-1.1)). In non-surgical rectal cancer patients, higher survival rates were observed in patients treated with chemoradiotherapy (OS 56%, RS 65%), or radiotherapy (OS 19%, RS 27%), compared to no treatment (OS 9%, RS 10%).Conclusion: Non-surgical treatment in older Dutch CRC patients has increased over time. Because survival of patients with colon cancer is very poor in the absence of surgery, this treatment decision must be carefully weighed. (Chemo-)radiotherapy may be a good alternative for rectal cancer surgery in older frail patients. Show moreThe aim of this thesis was to answer currently unanswered questions regarding health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in glioma patients by undertaking powerful detailed secondary analyses of existing pooled individual HRQoL patient data, which was previously collected in 15 RCTs in glioma patients.In total, data of 6048 glioma patients was included in the CODAGLIO database and 5 manuscripts were written that provide relevant information both for clinical practice as well as for clinical trials. Results of these studies entailed information on the added prognostic value of HRQoL at baseline in predicting survival. Furthermore, symptom clusters were identified and their association with functioning was investigated, and the impact of both (progression of) the disease and treatment on HRQoL deterioration was studied. Moreover, the ‘net clinical benefit’, weighing HRQoL and survival was calculated and different analytical methods to calculate change in HRQoL were compared.The CODAGLIO project, the largest individual patient data (IPD) project in neuro-oncology research so far, showed to represent an unique opportunity for secondary hypothesis testing, to answer clinically relevant questions with respect to HRQoL. Show moreIntroduction: Pancreatic cancer is associated with a high risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). However, comprehensive data on incidence, timing and relevant determinants of VTE in this particular population are scarce. Current study assesses incidence, timing and predictors of VTE in pancreatic cancer through different phases of disease. Methods: All pancreatic cancer patients treated in our tertiary referral center between 2013 through 2017 were studied. Occurrence of VTE was evaluated from diagnosis through end of follow-up or death. Relevant de-terminants of VTE were identified in logistic regression models. Hazard ratios were calculated to evaluate impact of VTE on overall survival. Results: In total, 361 patients were followed for a median period of 43 months; 64 were diagnosed with VTE (18%). Most were tumor related thrombosis (59%), incidental (75%) and occurred after anti-cancer treatment had been stopped (80%), only 1.6% occurred during remission phase. Stage IV pancreatic cancer was a predictor for VTE (hazard ratio (HR) 2.46, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.9-6.8). Biliary drainage (HR 0.52, 95%CI 0.28-0.98) and tumor resection (HR 0.45, 95%CI 0.45-1.83) were protective factors. VTE was not associated with worse survival (HR 1.3; 95% CI 0.97-1.74). Conclusions: VTE in pancreatic cancer is disease-stage dependent, with 80% occurring in advanced phases of disease when patients no longer receive active treatment. We speculate that this is the main reason for the absence of a survival effect of VTE in our cohort. These practice-based findings should be taken into account when considering wide-spread introduction of primary thromboprophylaxis in patients with pancreatic cancer. Show less
