This thesis aimed to evaluate and improve therapeutic anticoagulation strategies in patients presenting with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and to prevent arterial thrombosis after heart valve surgery. Additionally, major bleeding management with idarucizumab for urgent dabigatran reversal was evaluated.
