This disseration explored the question whether or not the philosophical underpinnings of the international order can still be used to provide the appropriate incentives to guide society in the information age. The disseration consists of three parts: 1. a factual background detailing the natural laws of the digital universe and their impact on society as we enter the information age 2. an overview of the philosophical underpinnings of society 3. an application of the philosophical underpinnings of society to the information age.
