Diagnostic strategies in patients with high fracture risk

Abstract

This

thesis describes the results of data collected from patients who were referred

to our Fracture Liaison Service in a 2-year time period for screening for

increased fracture risk, and also describes the results of our clinical studies performed using the impact microindentation technique, a new technique that measures tissue-level properties of cortical bone in humans in vivo.
