Abstract

Correction to: Nature Astronomy https://doi.org/10.1038/s41550-025-02657-w, published online 15 September 2025.

In the version of this article initially published, there were errors in the Fig. 4 color key, where in the dark orange key now reading “Total staff, –15%” and in the blue key, now reading “Young scientists, –41%,” the labels were originally interchanged. The keys are amended in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
