In this thesis immunity against post-translationally modified proteins was investigated. Antibodies targeting PTMs were investigated in three patient cohorts (RA, SLE and AILD) and associations with clinical markers explored. Furthermore, we observed that the complement system was activated on several PTMs contributing to the understanding of immunity against PTMs in autoimmunity.
