The Open Access provision in Dutch copyright contract law

Abstract

On 12 February 2015 the Copyright Contract Bill was adopted1 by the Dutch House of Representatives, including the new Art. 25fa of the Dutch Copyright Act that

relates to open access. The bill is currently pending before the Dutch Senate. The bill may enter into force on 1 July 2015 or, if that deadline is not met, on 1 January 2016. This contribution discusses the background to the open access provision and what its introduction means.
