Retraction notice to: Meditation-induced states predict attentional control over time

Abstract

This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/our-business/policies/article-withdrawal).This article has been retracted due to serious concerns regarding proper compliance with the Institutional Review Board, based on written notification from the corresponding authors’ institution. The substance of the complaint is that following an investigation at the Universiteit Leiden by the Academic Integrity Committee Leiden University & LUMC, it was determined that the authors engaged in malpractice in terms of infringements of professional ethical codes. The research design reported was substantially different from that in the protocol, a control group was added and important data and test subjects were omitted, which if true, would violate journal editorial guidelines and publishing policies.Authors R. Sellaro and I. Samara agree to this retraction. L.S. Colzato and B. Hommel have objected to the retraction of the paper. M. Baas was informed of the retraction in advance but did not comment.
