Studies on undifferentiated and early rheumatoid arthritis
Abstract
Over the past 3 decades the treatment and future perspectives of RA patients have changed dramatically. As a chronic systemic auto-immune disorder, RA does not only affect the joints but other organs as well (1). From a disabling disease due to chronic inflammation and destruction of bone and cartilage, it has become a much more manageable condition with the arrival of better medication and treatment strategies.
